The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative arm of the All India Services. IAS officers hold key positions in the Government of India, both at the Centre and in the States. They are responsible for implementing government policies, maintaining law and order, and providing essential services to the public.
The IAS examination is one of the most competitive exams in India. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year. Lakhs of candidates apply for the exam, but only a few hundred are selected.
