Testicular self-examination (TSE) is a simple and effective way to check for any abnormalities in your testicles, such as lumps, swelling, or changes in size or shape. It’s important to perform TSE regularly, as early detection of testicular cancer can lead to successful treatment and a better prognosis.
To perform TSE, stand in front of a mirror and examine your testicles one at a time. Gently roll each testicle between your thumb and fingers, feeling for any lumps or changes in texture. Also, check for any swelling or enlargement of the testicles or any changes in the skin, such as redness or thickening.
